Grecia

35 minutes away by car.
Palmares is the host of one the best-known festivities in the whole country, “Las Fiestas de Palmares”.
A town that still looks like an early 20th-century town, the city offers much old architecture of those ages, making it worth visiting if you want to travel in time and see how Costa Rica looked then.
Also, private parks offer trails and other attractions in the nearby mountains to Palmares.
Sarchi
25 minutes away by car.
Sarchi is a charming town with a nice downtown park. Near the park you can find businesses like restaurants, ice cream shops, and cafes.
Sarchi is home to many furniture stores well-known for their unique woodworking. Souvenir shops thrive here as the famous woodworking is not limited to furniture.
Naranjo
30 minutes away by car.
Naranjo is a town that relies on its famous coffee harvest activities. From here comes the famous Costa Rica coffee that is served in international coffee gourmet competitions.
Coffee baristas come from all corners of the world to learn about coffee harvesting and buy coffee grains for their contest.

San Pedro de Poas
15 minutes away by car.
San Pedro is a cool mountain town on the road to Volcan Poas and the head city of the canton of Poas.
Nice to visit because it has many amenities like restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, pharmacies, etc. The park in the middle of the town was recently renovated. Also, some recreative parks with trails, lagoons and rivers are locate near the town.
San Ramon
40 minutes away by car.
San Ramon is a growing town near the borders of the Central Valley. San Ramon combines both modern and old architecture and it is a vibrant town on weekends. Locals reunite in the town park to share a good chat.
Many tour guides operate from there because of San Ramon’s closeness to cloud forests and nature reserves.
